Slovenia & Croatia.
Footloose in Europe.

Lake Bled. Zagreb. Plitvice. Split. Dubrovnik. And women who simply walk.

You have seen the photos. Cobblestone lanes catching afternoon light. A lake so still it looks painted. Dubrovnik's walls at sunset with the sea below. Now it is your turn. Nine days across Slovenia and Croatia — slow, on foot, unhurried. Five cities. One pace. The Europe you always imagined.

From alpine lakes
to the Adriatic coast.

Slovenia and Croatia are two countries that feel like five. Lake Bled is mountain Europe at its most serene. Zagreb is cafe culture and cobblestone squares. Plitvice is waterfalls so blue they look unreal. Split is a Roman palace turned living city. Dubrovnik is the sea, the walls, the light — and everything you ever imagined Europe to be.

Nine days. Five worlds. One trip you will not stop talking about.

Every one unforgettable.

Day One
✈️
Lake Bled
Delhi → Ljubljana → Lake Bled
Arrival. Alpine air. Slow evening.
You land in Ljubljana and make your way to Lake Bled — one of the most quietly beautiful places in Europe. Check in, take a breath. No heavy sightseeing on Day 1. Just a slow sunset evening at the lakeside, the kind of evening you'll find hard to describe when you get home.

Lake Bled
Lake Bled
A full, slow Europe day.
Walk the entire lake. Stop at viewpoints. Sit in a lakeside cafe. Optionally take a traditional Pletna boat to Bled Island. Or don't. Free by afternoon to do exactly as little or as much as you like. This is the day that shows you what this trip is made of.

Captain Tactic: Be that girl who always wanted to cycle through Europe with an ice cream in hand. Lake Bled cycling feels different. No rush. No deadlines. Just mountain air, peaceful roads, and one beautiful European afternoon you'll remember for years.

Zagreb
Lake Bled → Zagreb
Scenic transit into Croatia.
A slow morning at Bled, then we make our way into Croatia's charming capital. The journey itself is part of the experience — beautiful countryside, the Slovenia-Croatia crossing, a gentle transition into a different but equally lovely country. Evening in Zagreb's old town cafe streets.

Zagreb
Zagreb — Plitvice Day Trip
Croatia's most spectacular natural wonder — as a day trip.
Head out from Zagreb to Plitvice Lakes National Park — a UNESCO World Heritage Site of impossibly turquoise water, cascading waterfalls, and wooden boardwalk trails through ancient forest. The kind of place you walk through slowly and say very little because words feel inadequate. Return to Zagreb in the evening.

Split
Zagreb → Split
The Adriatic coast arrives.
Travel south to Split — Croatia's second city and gateway to the Adriatic. Arrive comfortably and spend the evening walking the sea promenade. Diocletian's Palace forms the old town itself — a Roman emperor's retirement home that became an entire city. Watch the sunset from the Riva.

Split
A true relaxed Europe day by the sea.
Explore Split's old town — narrow lanes inside Diocletian's Palace walls, hidden courtyards, local cafes, and the Peristyle square that has seen 1,700 years of history. Free afternoon to sit by the Adriatic and let Split wash over you.

Dubrovnik
Split → Dubrovnik
One of Europe's most scenic coastal routes.
The drive from Split to Dubrovnik along the Adriatic coast is genuinely one of the most beautiful road journeys in Europe. After check-in, walk into Dubrovnik's old town — the "Pearl of the Adriatic" — as the evening light hits the limestone streets. Few first impressions in travel match this one.

Dubrovnik
A relaxed finale on the Adriatic.
Dubrovnik's stone streets, cliffside cafes, and coastal viewpoints are yours for one last full day. Optional experiences — city walls walk, kayaking the coastline — if you want them. Or simply sit, look at the sea, and let the trip settle into you. Evening: farewell dinner with your group.

Old town hotels may not have elevators. Historic buildings in Dubrovnik, Split, and Zagreb often predate lifts — this is the nature of old-Europe accommodation. Please come mentally prepared to carry bags up stairs. Pack light: a rolling bag plus a daypack works perfectly.

✦ Before You Pack

What to carry
to Europe.

This is a walking trip through two European countries in varied terrain — from alpine lakesides to Adriatic cliffsides. Pack accordingly.

🎒
Essentials
Comfortable walking shoes — non-negotiable. Cobblestones are everywhere. Light layers for variable weather. A small daypack for city exploration. Original passport (mandatory). Euros and Croatian kuna — cards work most places, markets prefer cash. A good camera — Europe in its slower corners is extraordinary.

Questions we
hear often.

Is this trip really 90% on foot?
Yes — this is the entire design. Hotels are deliberately placed in or near old towns so you walk out and the city is immediately there. No mandatory buses, no forced tours. The walking is relaxed and at group pace. Comfortable shoes are the only real requirement.
Do Indian passport holders need a visa for Slovenia and Croatia?
Yes. Both countries are in the Schengen Area. You'll need a Schengen visa — we guide you through the documentation. Apply early as processing can take 3–4 weeks.
What about hotels without elevators / lifts?
Old town hotels across Europe — Dubrovnik, Split, Zagreb — are often in heritage buildings that predate elevators. Please come mentally prepared. Pack light, bring a manageable bag. Think of the stairs as part of the old-Europe experience. We flag this clearly so there are no surprises.
Are entrance fees included?
No — intentionally. You decide what you want to see and pay only for those. No forced sightseeing, no budget wasted. Plitvice Lakes, Dubrovnik city walls, Split palace — all optional, all pay on spot. This keeps the trip truly footloose.
What about food? Options for vegetarians?
Breakfast is included daily at the hotel. Lunches and dinners are on your own — Slovenia and Croatia have excellent food scenes with solid vegetarian options. We share restaurant recommendations for each city. The Adriatic coast in particular is extraordinary for fresh food.
Is this safe for solo women travellers?
Slovenia and Croatia are consistently ranked among Europe's safest countries — clean, well-organised, and respectful. On a Jugni trip you also travel with a dedicated leader and a group of women throughout. Safety at every level.
What is the Flix bus mention about?
Some intercity legs on this trip use Flix bus — the comfortable, reliable European coach service that connects cities across Slovenia and Croatia. Hotels in Zagreb and Dubrovnik are chosen to be conveniently close to the Flix bus station.

Your footloose Europe moment
is waiting for you.
