Day One
🛬
Cairo
Arrival · Cairo
🍽 Meals: Breakfast · Dinner (Nile Cruise)
You've landed in the most storied city on earth.
Cairo meets you at the airport — the noise, the warmth, the energy. Private transfer to the hotel, check in, freshen up. Tonight belongs to the Nile. We board a Nile Dinner Cruise — a floating evening of traditional Egyptian food, music, and a cultural show, with the glittering city lights reflected in the river below you. By the time the evening ends, you'll already feel the magic of Egypt.

Day Two
🔺
Giza · Cairo
Pyramids · Sphinx · Museum
🍽 Meals: Breakfast · Dinner
The Great Pyramid. In front of you. Real.
There is no photograph that prepares you for the first sight of the Giza Pyramids. We visit the Great Pyramid of King Khufu, the Pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure, and stand face to face with the Great Sphinx — 73 metres of limestone that has watched the desert for 4,500 years.

Then the Papyrus Institute, where you discover one of the oldest writing materials in human history. And finally, the Grand Egyptian Museum — one of the world's largest museums dedicated to ancient Egypt, home to the breathtaking golden treasures of King Tutankhamun.

🐪 Optional: Camel Ride at the Giza Pyramids area — USD 25 per person (includes guide tip). Not in the package, arranged locally.

Day Three
✈️
Cairo → Aswan
Coptic Cairo · Citadel · Fly South
🍽 Meals: Breakfast · Dinner
Cairo's oldest Christian quarter — then the Nile leads you south.
We check out and spend the morning in Coptic Cairo — one of the oldest Christian areas in Egypt, a labyrinth of ancient churches, quiet courtyards, and centuries of faith layered upon each other. Then the Citadel of Saladin, Cairo's great medieval fortress, and the Mohammed Ali Mosque (the Alabaster Mosque) — Ottoman architecture framed by panoramic views over the entire city.

Afternoon transfer to Cairo Airport for the domestic flight to Aswan. Arrival in Aswan, transfer to hotel, check in. The pace slows here. The Nile is wider and calmer. You'll feel it immediately.

Day Four
🛕
Aswan
Philae Temple · Nile Island
🍽 Meals: Breakfast · Dinner
A temple on an island — surrounded by the waters of the Nile.
We board a motorboat to reach Philae Temple — one of the most beautiful ancient Egyptian temples, dedicated to the goddess Isis. The temple was relocated stone by stone to its current island to save it from the rising waters of the Aswan Dam — itself a story of extraordinary ambition.

The afternoon takes us to an essential oils and perfume institute, where traditional Egyptian fragrances are prepared following ancient techniques, without alcohol or water. Pure, concentrated scent — the kind that stays with you long after you've left.

🌙 Optional: Philae Temple Sound & Light Show — USD 50 per person. A spectacular evening of lights, music and ancient stories told in the open air.

Day Five
🏜️
Aswan
Free Day · Optional Abu Simbel
🍽 Meals: Breakfast · Dinner
Free time in Aswan — or one of Egypt's greatest temples 220 km south.
Today is yours. Aswan is one of the most beautiful cities in Egypt — the Nile here is wide and dotted with felucca sails, Nubian villages line the banks, and the pace is gentle. Walk the Corniche, visit the market, or simply sit by the river.

Or, take the optional excursion to Abu Simbel — 220 km south of Aswan, the two colossal temples of King Ramesses II and Queen Nefertari cut directly into the mountainside. This is one of Egypt's most powerful sights, and for those who make the journey, it is unforgettable.

Day Six
🌅
Aswan → Luxor
Road to Luxor · Nile Valley Drive
🍽 Meals: Breakfast · Dinner
The Nile Valley by road — then Luxor at sunset.
Check out and depart Aswan by private bus. The drive through the Nile Valley is one of Egypt's quiet pleasures — date palms, green fields, the river glinting to one side, desert cliffs to the other. A landscape that has looked essentially like this since the first pharaoh.

Arrival in Luxor. Check in to the hotel. Afternoon visit to Luxor Temple — a vast complex right in the heart of the city, dramatically lit at sunset and breathtaking after dark. Then a visit to a traditional gold shop and cartouche workshop — where guests can create a personalised cartouche, their own name engraved in ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics.

Day Seven
👑
Luxor West Bank
Valley of the Kings · Hatshepsut · Memnon
🍽 Meals: Breakfast · Dinner
Where the pharaohs rest — and history speaks at full volume.
The West Bank of Luxor is where ancient Egypt buried its greatest rulers. We begin with the Valley of the Kings — the royal burial ground of New Kingdom pharaohs, where the walls of the tombs are painted with extraordinary detail, colour, and stories meant to guide the dead to eternity.

Then the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut — one of the most remarkable architectural achievements of the ancient world, built into the cliffs of Deir el-Bahri. And finally, the Colossi of Memnon — two giant sandstone statues of King Amenhotep III standing sentinel over the valley. The Alabaster Factory rounds out the day, where traditional Egyptian stonecraft is still practised.

🎈 Optional: Luxor Hot Air Balloon at sunrise — USD 155 per person. Float over the West Bank at dawn — the Nile, the temples, the desert from above. One of Egypt's most unforgettable experiences.

Day Eight
🌅
Luxor → Hurghada
Red Sea · Beach · Sunset
🍽 Meals: Breakfast · Lunch · Dinner
One last evening — the Red Sea, a beach property, and Egypt fading into the horizon.
Breakfast in Luxor. Check out. Private bus across the Eastern Desert toward the Red Sea coast — the landscape shifts dramatically as the Nile Valley gives way to open desert and then, suddenly, the blue of the Red Sea.

We check in to a beach property in Hurghada. The afternoon is yours — sand between your toes, salt in the air, the sound of waves after ten days of ancient stone and desert wind. This is Egypt's other side: easy, warm, and blue.

In the evening, we watch the sun set over the Red Sea together. The sky turns gold and then pink and then dark — and that's when it settles in. What you saw. What you felt. What this place did to you. A group dinner to close the trip properly — stories shared, plans made, photographs traded.

🌊 The Red Sea coast is one of the most beautiful in the world. Take a swim, sit by the water, or just breathe. You've earned it.

Day Nine
🛫
Hurghada → Cairo
Departure Day
🍽 Meals: Breakfast
Breakfast by the sea. Then home — and message us when you land in Delhi. 🧡
One last breakfast by the Red Sea. No temples today. No timelines. Just coffee, the water, and the quiet knowledge that you did something most people only talk about.

Private bus or transfer back to Hurghada Airport — or onward to Cairo for your international flight home. As you board, Egypt will be doing that thing it does — making you wonder, somewhere between the gate and the seat, when you're coming back.

We hope you enjoyed every moment. Message us on WhatsApp when you land in Delhi — we genuinely love hearing that you're home safe. And we'll already be thinking about where to take you next.

🛂

Questions we hear often.

Do I need a visa for Egypt?
Yes — Indian passport holders need a tourist visa. The easiest option is on-arrival at Cairo International Airport, approximately USD 25. Alternatively, you can apply for an Egypt e-visa online before departure. We walk you through the process after booking.
Is Egypt safe for women travellers?
Egypt is a major international tourism destination with well-established infrastructure. With a Jugni group you have an English-speaking licensed guide, a Jugni trip leader, and a small group of women travelling together. Tourist areas in Cairo, Aswan, and Luxor are well-managed. We always brief the group on local customs before we travel.
What is the weather like?
Egypt is warm to hot throughout the year. Summer (July–August) is the hottest — Cairo and Luxor can reach 38–42°C. The ideal time to visit is October to April when temperatures are milder (20–28°C). We plan our trips in the cooler months. Confirm dates with us for the season we are running this batch.
What is a cartouche and why is it worth getting?
A cartouche is an oval-shaped frame used by ancient Egyptian pharaohs to enclose their names in hieroglyphics — a symbol of eternity and protection. In Luxor you can have your name written in hieroglyphics and engraved on a cartouche in gold or silver. It is one of the most unique and personal souvenirs you can bring home from Egypt.
Are the optional tours worth the extra cost?
The hot air balloon over Luxor (USD 155) is something most travellers say they are glad they did — truly exceptional. The Philae Sound & Light Show (USD 50) is a lovely evening if you enjoy atmosphere over information. None are required — all can be decided once you're there.
I've never travelled internationally. Is this trip right for me?
Many of Jugni's Egypt travellers have taken their first international trip with us. Egypt is extraordinary — and with a guide, a Jugni leader, and a small group of women around you, it is also entirely manageable. We help you with flights, visa, packing, and every question in between. You just show up.
Why isn't a 3–4 day Nile cruise included in the itinerary?
A Nile cruise isn't active sailing — it's mostly passive. The boat stays docked in one city for much of the day while you do your excursions by vehicle anyway. Instead, we've built in the beautiful Nubian Village experience, which is far more rewarding than sitting on a boat that barely moves during the day. And you don't miss out on the river at all — you'll enjoy a Nile dinner cruise on Day 01.

The Pyramids have stood for
4,500 years — they can wait one more day.

This group is intentionally small. Reach out today and we'll share everything — pricing, dates, visa, flights. Egypt is waiting.
